Wow, Curval... after one divorce and seeing most of my friends get divorced, I can't even think of marriage in a positive light. I freeze at the very mention of the M-word. So I'm glad to read a post like this.
-

And I dont mind talking about it either!!:)

Curval is starting to scare me. I think it's the Ripsnort influence. LOL!

Mine's gotta be pretty special to put up with me for that long :)

You trying to get me banned? ;) You would love her, but I want to stay married, so sorry no nekid pics.

Approaching 24 years for my wife and I. We're easing into mutual decreptitude. Life is good. Now if I were financially able to retire, life would be great.

H. Godwinson,
With you being a high school teacher, I don't think that you are ever going to be financially able to retire. :) :p
-
29 years on Jan 25th. We both claim we are not leaving till we get even. She put up with 25 years of no vacations, and 60+ hour work weeks and me ... she deserves spending some money and being retired now. I sure hope we get another 25 of play time.
-
so sorry no nekid pics
rats! :D

peaceful warrior,
Joseph, get back to your school work and quit playing around on the East Lab Computer!

congrats. too rare now days.
-
ah shucks;) i love mine too, geez:rolleyes: today we celebrate our 15th anniversery :D and i'll admit i'm damn lucky to have her as my wife
-
It's good to see so many who are satisfied with matrimony. Very refreshing, considering the number of posters on the bbs who demonstrate such lascivious attitudes towards women in general.

Agreed, 100%. I wish I could have been one of them. :(

it's easy!
just chew some gum (supposed to make you look more American)
and hang at nudie bars, and shout profane things at women. Post them on the BBS and you're 'one of them'.
-
what?
My 'lascivious attitudes' are just one of my many charms that have kept me married.
the thing is focus. just focus it all on 1 woman and you can keep her forever (well at least 18 years so far)
-
I'D be happier if my WIFE had a lascivious attitude!

uhm, I hate to be the one to point it out but it's your job to find ways to bring it out. if you do your job well the pay off is worth it.

Perhaps we each need to have our chassis rebuilt.

we all love your wife...at least once a week :D
sorry, couldn't help myself.

My wife just sent me an e-card saying all she wanted for Christmas was me. With hugs and kisses and teddy bears on it.
I say BS.
She's just greasing me up before telling me how much she spent on Christmas.
10 years in April, 1st marriage went 10, 2 of which were tolerable. This one is way, way, good.
-
We all left one important detail out!!!
They let us play games online with guys named Rude, and Fatbastard and Skuzzy... And still remain married to us, and put up with our AH driving habits..You no the ones where we aim and lead the car in front of us as if were trying to score some perk points... Thats why we love our wifes... Cause they a rare breed putting up with our stupid hobbies!!! And they have to listen to us call people Dweebs!!

Coming up on 3 months with mine. And am very very happy this time around! :D

almost everyone i know has been divorced at least once. those that aren't constantly talk about how squeaky and controlling their wife is or whatever.
i guess i don't get why marriage is so hard for some people. i suppose we could try to find something to fight about but it seems like so much work. i almost feel guilty being happily married.
;)

Here is one for you all,
A few weeks back I get a call at work from my wife, and she said I needed to come home right away as something was blocking the drive and she could not get out.
So I get all pissed off and I take off from work a few hours early and get home to this:
She ask if I would move the dam thing and put it in garage as it was in her way and the dealer that delivered it would not move it in side.
And she puts up with me everyday
Got to love her!
-
Heater...really nice man. What a great surprise.
Mine did one to me not too long ago...in my case it was a Rolex.:)
-
A motorcycle and a Rolex?! I take it that you guys don't earn your money teaching school, do ya?
Envious, Shuckins :(
-
she pretends it's your bike. actually it's her new vibrator
-
Ya know I was considering getting a Rolex.....
Then I decided to buy a house instead... (same price more bedrooms).

Hehm when you hear people congratulating each other for spending lots of time with a member of the opposite sex and still being happy, you really start to think of that it's a rarity.
I'd stay away from marriage, but that'd require the possibility of getting married, so I can't. :D
-
Mine is awsome to.....Can't think of ever being without her. be great if more people in the world could have what My wife and I do. :D

It's funny 'cause it's true.;)

I'm the luckiest one here because I've got a PERFECT wife AND I'm the biggest DORK you've ever seen. Been together 7.5 years, married 6. 2 beautiful girls, ages 3 and 1.
I met her in Hawaii, on Waikiki beach. She was wearing nothing but a bikini and took my breath away when I first saw her. By the end of the day (that we met), I knew that she was the one, I knew that we were going to be married. She is my soul-mate. :)

I hate my wife..All she does is pester and demand my undividing attention!
I guess I should mention she is expecting our first baby in 8 days...:D

We'll make it to thirty years this coming September. BTW women and motercycles DO have that special thing going..
Go figure.
Congrats SirLoin, your life will soon end as you know it ;)
-

Pretty good way to collect some easy points Curval :D (J/K)
Congratulations SirLoin, I hope everything goes well !

Excuse me, Sir........what time is it?............my watch was free! :D

I turned 30 on Thanksgiving. Thirty!
I am currently single, but more and more my thoughts turn towards the future. I would like, I think, to meet a nice woman about my age and let it lead were it will.

I met my wife 6 days after my 30th birthday.
Good luck, and be BRAVE (don't be afraid to approach women)!

here's a little unsolicited advice. be yourself all the time. most of the time when I see peoples marriages fail, they would go into this 'dating behavior' mode whenever chicks they where interested in would come around. you can only keep this up for so many years. eventually they figure out who you are and if they don't like what they find they leave, taking half you stuff with them when they do.
embrace your iner-pig, be yourself. it's a great filter. you eliminate a whole lot of omen you would have never got along with anyway, before you spend your money/time on them.
-
Nice post, Curval :)
I feel the same about mine. My life's 7 shortest years, and the best decision I've ever made.
-
Bah, suckers. Suckers who fall for the Great Woman Lie.
Too brainwashed to realise they're in pain, married people :D
