i would like to fly for one team during the day, another at night
a 6 hour time limit restriction on country change would allow this, plz change
-
Would it be prudent to leave the rule in stating that you need to have been a pilot in that country for 12 hours before you get credit for any points awarded for winning the war?
Its alot easier to predict which side is going to win the war if the limit is only 6 hours vs 12 hours.
Just a thought.

i wouldnt mind that dingy, my motivation is not the war winning part, but the players who play at different times. At night time i happen to like the people who currently fly for rooks, during the day i like the people who currently fly for knights..

I'd like to see it extended for a tour...example, when Knits have been losing the last several days, I saw alot of defections...guess that happened in real war too though! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Well thanks alot zig...

What is the current time limit?
Zig, understand your motivation but I think there are plenty of others that would use the shorter time limit simply to grab perk points for winning. I can see the endless whines already... "He swaps for points, the dweeb!"

I believe its 12 hours now for both waiting before you can switch and for minimum amount of time you must have spent in a country before you can get perkies.
I agree with Sand that changing the time from 12 hours to 6 hours as the minimum amount of time before you can get points for winning the war makes it quite a bit easier to abuse than the current system.
I also understand Zigs wish to fly with different people at different times and dont have a problem with that part.

Think Zig has a good point. 6 hours should be enough to discourage switching mindlessly, and add flexibility.

That's not necessarily true Dingy. Saturday night I logged in to the arena and the bish and rooks were putting the squeez on us knights. I flew for a while then logged for bed. Sunday I logged on and the same war was still going on, only knights were down to 4 fields with our HQ surrounded by the bish. I logged on a few hours later and we had 5 fields, 4 of which were closed. We had 1 field that was able to launch and I thought we'd lose soon for sure, but a few hours later we had about 7 or 8 fields. Last night when I logged on the same war was being faught, the lines hadn't changed.
I like 6 hours too, sometimes I like to "lone wolf" and kill knights (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) I just hate it when I shoot down a squady, and don't like having to wait 24 hrs to switch back...

Humbug. Make it 6 days! Better still, make changing sides *cost* perk points, in excess of those potentially gained by a reset. Not enough points - you can't change!

As one who has been harrassed for not being on the low side, I welcome a shorter time to change. Points mean nothing.
-
I would like it as well.
I think "war winning perk points" have been over-rated as a motivator. Personally, I don't care that much if I get em or not. In fact, I have yet to earn any points from winning the war. I also haven't spent any points either.

10 minutes would be fine with me. If your not having fun in the country your in why n9ot be able to switch?

Great idea Zig, I'm all for reducing the time limit as well. Never understood why it was so long in the first place.

I think the time should be one tour , If you bounced in and out of our squad , you would get the boot .
"hey guys can I be in your squad" next day " hey guys sign me back up , I been killing squadies all night , now I want back in " ummm BOOOT

first of all i would never want to be a maw-maw so dont worry you will never have that problem paint, id like to fly with the grunherz when my squad (the assasins) arent on since 90% of the assasins arent college kids like me with lots of time during the day.

that wasn't an invite (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Hm, well, to avoid letting people switch just to get those perkies for the winning side, how about just not giving perkies to those who have flown for a country for less than 12 hours?
That is winning war perkies, I mean.
Shouldn't be too hard to implement. Or maybe it is, i dunno (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif).
