Title: Does Murder matter in long run?
Post by: NUKE on December 12, 2002, 10:43:02 PM
If a guy "x" killed guy "y" 2000 years ago, what is the relative impact on both lives, given the amount of time a human can live and the time elapsed?

I mean, if guy "x" was murdered by guy "y" at age 50 (2000 years ago), they both have been dead nearly 2000 years by now anyway, so what's the big deal?

In the overall picture of space-time, what is the big deal about a human life?

So, you'd be OK with it if somebody killed your Grandpa before he had a chance to shag your Grandma and make your dad?

This isn't going to turn into a "The Jews killed Jesus" thread is it?

that's a weird question- new bbs bait store in town? ;)

tornados don't matter when they are gone, but the effects their short lived presence can linger long after. it's like that i guess. murder leaves a nasty wrinkle.

everyone knows the roman killed man-who-fathered-himself after the jews asked them to, but it really shouldn't make difference.  if Jeezis was G-d then he coulda just laughed it off "you can't kill me sukkaz, i'm the 1&only...".  if he wasn't then they just knocked off some loud mouthed hippie.  the ohio national god whacked a bunch of 'em 30 years ago & nobody cares about it anymore

hmm whgates...

Jesus died as part of God's plan. Judas Betrayed him and committed suicide as part fo God's plan.

If Jesus had not died on the Cross, then God would not have sacrificed his only son to cleanse the sins of the living.

Judas, Pilate and everyone else who did for Jesus were all integral parts of the plan.

Now, I'm no Christian, but I believe that is correct.

What, after all, would be the point of a superhero type? Then you are just living under duress, knowing that he would smite you at the first opportunity if he thinks it's necessary.

Although I suppose that is currently the case too.
Anyway, the fact that God did not intervene to prevent his son's death, does not mean that Jesus wasn't the son of God.

This is the dumbest thread yet, and that is saying something.
