It's a FW-190, note the radial engine. It's the most versatile aircraft ever.
Kurt Tank. Also notice the extra "speed wing" attached to the top of the fuselage. This makes it go faster.
This model was not captured, but was donated by Tank to the USN as thanks for stopping production of the ugly F4F. Tank did the world a favor.
