Title: AT6d Texan Restoration
Post by: Dayo on December 13, 2002, 03:11:33 PM
AT6d Texan restoration
I am presently involved with the Dixie Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, At6d Texan trainer restoration project.

The Commemorative Air Force is a not for profit organisation which operates as a flying museum. It is made up of paying volunteers who volunteer their time and skills as well as money to keeping the memory of those who fought in the skies for their countries alive. This is accomplished by restoring and maintaining a number of historical Warbirds for flight. These aircraft are flown at Airshows, private flight sessions and kept on display for all to see.

The project is nearing completion and is in need of an Aircraft Identification and data plate for this aircraft to meet FAA certification regulations.
The Data plate can be from any model AT6 as Faa regs state this plate is needed for registration purposes.

Any help with locating this item would be greatly appreciated.
