Title: Communication: Or how to tune the radio.
Post by: shdo on August 02, 1999, 11:20:00 AM
One of the things in WB that has really been a gripe for the me is the radio, or really how limited you are in tuning it.  Now I realize that "historicly" they had crystal sets that had a very limited number of frequences available to them but I also know that the average pilot was not trying to coordinate the world a.k.a. Ground Control.

If the radios would be similer to WB (i.e. 4 distinct radios that could tune distinct channles) then I would ask that we have more than 1 radio that could tune the country dependent/country independent group channles (WB channles 01-99).

Most of the time in the MA and SL/Special Events we get by it by using private channles (which i think are a GREAT thing) but it also makes it very hectic to coordinate multiple groups on sub-100 channles when setting up the event.

so in conclusion - Give me lots of radios and let me tune them to any channle i want  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

There are five radios.  The first four can be tuned to anything.  The last one is a combination voice/text setup.

Question here is.

No one uses WB Voice it SUX.

Hardly Anyone USES Roger Wilco or Battle Comm.

And it suxs to get kilt while typing out a six or 911 call.

What is Hitech Planning on doing about Voice Comms, If Any?
