Anyone else see this? If I look at planes in the regular cockpit view, they seem fine. These two planes are heading in the same vector as I am.
-
But, without any of the planes changing their heading, if I look out of the front-left of the aircraft (keypad 7), they look distorted as if they are turning.
-
Its the lavochnik warp field bubble.
:p
-
:) I should have mentioned that I see it with all planes. I thought at first that it was something screwy with my grahpics card so I never worried about it. But now I find that it does it on my new PC too.

It's perfectly normal.
It's a bit of a fisheye effect caused by displaying a larger field of view than you get looking into the monitor.
So the edges appear to bend a bit.
-
The mysteries of perspective.
-
can part of it be that you have moved your views and really aren't lookin at them from the same point ?
-
It is the fish-eye lense effect we get when trying to display a larger field of view than can be realistically placed on a screen that takes up a smaller view angle.
Try and look at the moon at the 45° angle...it looks all squished.

Thanks for bringing this up, never noticed it til now. Last night was attacking lanc bellys looking up at them and they distorting all over the place, couldnt get a good shot in. Then I realize its just some dweeb monkeying with his rudders. Only it came clear after he turned 180 and gave me freebies on his drones.
