i know ive asked this before and im gonna keep ask'n it till i get off my but and figure out a way to get a 3d card but till then your stuck with me so here i go
I WANT MORE FPS!!! 10-30 just dont cut it
ummm i really dont know my sys specs so i took screenshots of dxdiag if there is anything else needed just tell me how to find it
and i have never updataed my drivers .... dont know what ones to DL
and whats with this direct draw refresh rate override
-
well, firstly you might want to turn dowm your sound accelleration a notch.
as far as drivers go....hmm well i have no idea what are good drivers for the savage chip cards.
you really need a new video card. when you see someone posting in this forum about their newest upgrade, see if they won't sell you their old card. i got a elsa GF2 32M for $35 a few months back.
good luck
F.

someone also told me to check my sys devices one time what for i dont know but this is a SS of them
-
k found some prosavage drivers but i dont see my card on the list .... probably cause its all numbers https://ranger.s3graphics.com/370drv/

At what resolution are you playing? Try dropping it. But you *really* need a better graphics card. I run a dual P3-1000 and get 60 to 100 FPS at 1600x1200x32, half that with FSAA. I use a GeForce 4 4200.
-
800X600X16
what ticks me off is that whan we got this pc i didnt know anything about comps and the company said it was top of the line and perfect for games .... yea solitare....pe are pay'n $1300 for this pos and when we first got it it crashed 4 times
and they said everything in it was brand new BS!! there are parts in this thing dating back to 98

An extra 256MB of memory would help but the main thing you want to do is replace that video card with a GeForce or Radeon chipset based card.
-
someone told me about VIA drivers ... 4in1 or something like that should i DL them?
-
well i installed some VIA 4.45 4in1 or something .... gett'n a steady 20-30 fps now
and is this a good card for me? ATI Radeon VE 7000 3D 64MB SDRAM AGP 4X CRT+TV-Out
and can i hook a TV to the TV out? like a 32 inch tv >8)

You can, but after about five minutes you'll switch back to your monitor. TV's have terrible resolution. Just move closer to your monitor if you want a bigger picture,
-
cant be no worse than the 800x600x16 or 32 i use on all games
-
If you can find one, the current price/performance card seems to be the radeon 8500 pro if you can spend $200+, or a GeForce 4-4200 for about $120-$150.
-
i only got $30 and the one i just posted is only $34 plus $5.75 shipping

oh yes it can. Oh god it can.
You lose plenty of sharpness, text needs to be two-three times the size to be readable. (Look closely at a TV sometime, then look closely at your monitor, and notice the huge difference)

i see ur refresh rate for your monitor was set at 70hrz is that the higest setting ? if u can go higher to say 85 i would
-
i can go to 80+ but it makes noises now and then and gets offcentered
