I want to preface this post with the statement that I have a tremendous amount of respect for 98% of this communities members and I'm not targeting or responding to any of the recent threads on this topic.
There is no doubt that AcesHigh has changed markedly over the last 2 years. Many, myself included, have felt the game has suffered greatly over the last few releases. Most if not all the posts are well intentioned and simply seek to restore the game to it's "proper" place in the world...as the #1 FLIGHT SIM. However the building animosity on the BBS toward Pyro & HT is uncalled for...and I've seen a marked change in their attitude toward the customer base as a result.
It seems many have lost sight of what a remarkable achievement this has been for them and how much it's changed the development of online flight sims. They took the risk and pursued THEIR dream...and have every right to follow their vision to it's conclusion. If you don't like where the bus is going then get off ( I have more than once).
As a counterpoint, I do think somewhat of an attitude adjustment from HT and Pyro may be in order as well...but I've seen them step back from the "brink" over the last few weeks.
All in all the last few years on AH have been a blast, hopefully the next couple will be as good or better...otherwise someone will be telling us about a great new beta coming out while we're at the AH convention in a few years....
