Of all else that I had read I was particularly happy to see this as far as fairness of gameplay is concerned. :)
Thank you.
Added a perk balancing system. Both points earned and the cost of perk planes are adjusted based on your countries numbers.

the possible downside of adusted perks:
team r has 12 players
team k has 178 players
team b has 150 players
if i give a crap about perks...
against team r:
i am only going to fly low eny planes. why fly something a little more difficult when there is no reward?
especially when they are getting larger perks points for shooting down the crappier planes.
againts team k:
i am going to fly the high eny planes and reap big perks. or i could still fly low eny planes and make a tidy profit.
i guess i may not have a point here, but adjusted perk values won't get me to change sides. and the team lowest on numbers is gonna have to fight a larger % of "uber" planes.

The F4F4 needs it's perk points adjusted... it's currently rated the same as a F4U-1...
It should have a higher ENY than the F4U-1.

The one thing that worries me is this:
Knights 143 players - 10 fields
Rooks 120 players - 29 fields
Bishops 112 players - 46 fields
Even though the Knights are in the "bucket" they are getting less perk points than the Bish or Rook who have more fields. Basicly in this example the Rooks and Bish are getting MORE perk points for gangbanging the Knights. It's a secenario like this that kinda worries me.

I guess its a good thing I can only fly the 190a8 with any level of success, and that its unperked.

That's a possible scenario, but don't worry - by the time a side gets to 10 fields, most of the population would've switched to a side with more bases.

I don't think this is a cureall but it's a definate step in the right direction and instead of doing nothing at all which would have ZERO effect.
I appreciate that they are even working on addressing this problem, when really they don't have to.
I'm also happy to have new stuff to enjoy, it's a nice christmas gift from HTC =)

IMO, the real gameplay problem is the MegaHorde raid, which seems to be the current trend.
Instead of adjusting point or perks based on country numbers, adjust them based on the ratio of enemy/friendly planes in icon range. The MegaHorde Vultch would generate almost no points for the Horde, and lots of points for the few defenders.
It would also minimize the incentive for the CongaLine and GangBang attacks, and promote "fair" fights.
Of course, some players don't play for points.

This would go to discourage squad nites and missions and teamwork in general.

I'm all for discouraging 50v6 "teamwork".
