Title: 1.12 planeset
Post by: Fariz on December 18, 2002, 12:04:33 PM
No news about 1.12, but I think it is some possible estimations can be done.

It is mission arena Europe airwar mid-end war. So plane set most likely will be to close gaps we have now. I think more allied and axis mid war fighter/bombers versions and new models.

Also, lights is unlikely just an eye candy. I think we can expect night warfare in mission arena, with night fighters and dars. Gamma problem most likely will be solved by removing icons during night time, and reducing dot range, so to find enemy bombers you shall use radar.

Just thoughts. Still waiting for news on next version.

I'm hopeing we get a Italian Bomber, a German Heavy Bomber, a Russian Med or Heavy Bomber, and a Japanese Heavy Bomber. I'm also hopeing we get a German Halftrack and some Allied tanks.

Well since the new version was just realeased I would think everyone ought to give HT and company a break you still have a better sim/game than any of the others.

HT and company take some time off to re-gen and happy holidays

Some folks ain't never satisfied.

for the mission theater only

109g6as

210/410

earlier variats of the b17 and b26

b24

p47c

warlier variants of the p38

bomber version of the mossie

a later spit variant

if possible a 190a6

For the main however most of these planes are redundant and fit no real need. We dont have an rps and the main is for the most part a late war arena.

Ki-84 and or ki-100 would do well in the main.

My personal hope would be for ht to focus on VVS aircraft mainly. Of all the airforces of ww2 the VVS are well under represeted.

pe 2
tu 2

yak1b
yak7b
yak9d

lagg 3
lagg 5 (or f)

mig 3

il16

t34

to go along with that an 190a3 and a 109f2 or 109e7b.

However again these aircraft dont meet the needs of the main. An iltalian bomber, g55 or re2005 would be awesome.

Any new planes are welcome though. No more wonderwaffe stuff though unless it the 162 :)

Out of a long wish list, for my $.02 perhaps the only really glaring omission is the KI-84. A good addition for the CT, scenarios and other special events, Japanese role players and even the MA. Good numbers produced, very good but not perkable performance (certainly if modeled using Japanese fuel) -- should be interesting.

I would love to see a c-hog-level perked Spitfire XVI LF too.

I-16... Polikarpov was the mfg of aircraft with the I designator... I15, I15bis, I153, I16..

Il was a designator for Ilyushin aircraft.

Agree with aac on HTC. Enjoy the holidays, 1.11 is great.

As to the next planes coming I'd like to see:

F2A-2 "Brewster Buffalo"

Ki-84 "Frank"

A-26 "Invader"

If you get U-Boats there better be some mannable destroyers or probably a better fit would be corvettes (think 1/2 destroyer, 1/2 PT boat).

Spitfire LF mk. IX (with clipped wings please) :).  Or spitfire varient with equivalent performance (defo needed for RAF in the mission theatre).

Other planes-

ki84 (the guys who love jap planes have waited long enough methinks).

Couple of early/mid war ruskie fighters and a bomber.

Beaufighter.

That would be my choices:)

an LF spit would be really nice. Mk IX or V would seem obvious as we already have 80% of the model in place. Anyone know the numbers produced of the LF.VIII tho? I'd like to see a Mk8 of some description. This is the one that quite a few RAF pilots have called the 'really good' one.

I-16 and KI.84 would be nice also.

Who are you kidding?

If we get anything that shoots forward and can break 220mph in a dive I'd be surprised.

Actually, you should probably just ask the CMs what they asked for this time, because that's what you're getting.

Re2005
Ki84
Brewster

I think HT & crew should take a bow on this release. The Pony cockpit I think truly awesome, the Tiger will be great defensively and I think the disappering icon bug would be a nice feature!

HTC & crew

Just my US $.02:cool:

this 5,000 kg fire cracker could:

break a 2.5-tile strong tile wall within ca. 28 metres;
crack a 2.5-tile strong tile wall within ca. 42 metres;
break heavy timber walls within ca. 42 metres;
break a plank wall within ca. 104 metres;
break window frames, doors and light partition walls within ca. 150 metres;
blow out window glass within ca. 450 metres;
and crack window glass within ca. 1700 metres from its explosion.

P-47C would be a waste  of time.  A d-5 would be much more represetative of the spring and early summer of 1944.

P-39N was U.S. Army Air Corp and not US Navy.  If any of you remember Earl from AW, the P-39N is the plane he used to fly convey air cover duty in the Meditterranian.

C;mon you guys!
Think OUTSIDE the cockpit!

U-Boats!!

Can only stay submerged for say 30 mins.
Must run on surface for 30 mins to recharge batteries.
Arm them with 10 torpedoes and some deck and AA gun ammo.
Allow them to rearm at port with a naval 'hot pad'.  Don't get caught at port!

Manable DD's and DE's and yes, Corvettes a must.
And if this is to be, give you airplane guys a Beaufighter with radar and a floodlight for those night attacks!

Think of the possibilities!  :D
