Finally graduated college (or "from university" for you Euro types) last weekend and Ive been busy finishing up papers and studying for finals this week (figures HTC had to release 1.11, eh?).
One of my papers, for the class China: History and Politics ended up with a typical "Im graduating and dont give toejam" twist to it. I had initially planned to write a paper on US - China relations during WWII, but quickly realized I would have to write a novel to cover it.
Instead, I wrote a paper on the AVG - hope my prof approves. It basically recounts the situation in China, the activity of the AVG, a technical comparison of the A6M2 and Tomahawk, and a brief recount of some of the air combat in the region and famous (or infamous) pilots that flew with the AVG (Boyington). Im gonna to go hand it in now - wish me luck. Hopefully "Baa Baa Black Sheep" and "Hunters in the Sky" are appropriate sources. :cool:

The AVG didn't see the A6M2 very much, they mistook the Ki43 for the A6M2...
They fought, for the most part, Japanese Army planes...
So a better comparison would of been with the Ki27 or Ki43. :)

That prof is gonna get a better read out of that paper than most of the crap he has to plough through.

As far as my Prof is concerned, the AVG fought against Zekes... I'd only confuse him with Ki's. Its enough that I described basic ACM against the more nimble Jap aircraft... he'll probably Email me asking for sources on the aircraft information - who wants to be my expert? :cool:
