Title: CH Products Help
Post by: Torvald on December 20, 2002, 10:32:12 AM
I just got the CH Products CombatStick, pro-throttle and pro pedals, and I am having a very difficult time gettig them to work with AH. I installed the controller manager that came with the gear, but CH tech support tells me that it is very out of date and CH's website is down atm so I can not download an updated version of the software. So, I need some help, recommendations, etc. Any would be apreciated.

Try following Airspro's great setup help.  I have the same setup as his and didn't install CH Control Manager or Sidewinder Profiler.  I have everything working great using the Aces High Stick setup utility.  I use Win XP and Airspro has 98SE.  Both are USB setups.  Good Luck.

HMMMMMM!  Page not displayed.  Wierd, it works when I paste in the address.  I punted "CH Hotas USB Troubles" to the top.  It has airspro's setup.

You are going to have to wait until you can download the updated version of Control Manager from CH's website as this fixes some problems with Control Manager.  Without it, you'll still have troubles getting your stuff to work even with someone else's template.

That is not true if you don't use Control Manager at all .  Many of us don't even have CM installed .  Just set everything up in Aces High.

If you really insist on using Control Manager check this thread.

When you say you dont use CM, do you mean you do not use Speed Keys for the win98 user?  Would love to not use SK's.

Mims,
I am not sure about 98 but you don't need CM with XP for CH USB devices cause the native drivers install when ya plug it in.  Airspro is using 98se so check his reply in "CH HOTAS USB troubles"

I tried CM for a bit but deleted it and did the setup in AH. Works fine - 98SE
