Well, according to the rankings here they are last tour....

But are the main arena rankings reflective of how these squads would do if they were pitted against each other?
Would Noboru's Jagdgeschwader 1" Oesau " rule the H2H ladder, as they are #1 in the MA fighter rankings last TOD.
What about ripsnorts infamous "Death Rattlers"? How would they do?
The Arabian Knights, JG54, what about hooligans squad? Could the drex powered "Blue Knights" destroy us all?
Which squad is the best squad in Aces High?
Well, there's a member of this community who calls himself "Tard Extraordinaire" aka Exile. This ol boy's been beating his brains writing up a ladder for Aces High. He just got the "Loose Deuce" (2 vs. 2) part, and the "Squad vs. Squad" part working.
So far, the only two squads to join up are The ASSASSINS and The Fat Drunk Bastards. Is your CO man enough to sign up your squad? Or does he run and hide from these two mighty squadrons?

All kidding aside fellas, These ladders can be great fun. I used to fly one over warbirds, and enjoyed it immensely. I met all kinds of nice people in it. Great comeradery. It was a 1 vs. 1 ladder though. I look forward to this squad vs. squad thing. This could turn into something really cool.
What do ya say we give it a try?

Sounds like a fun idea and I support the concept. Unfortunately, right now is a bad time for me to get involved in anything. Nimitz (XO) has the same problem. Hblair, Exile, the AKs will give it a go after the month of May.

Why couldn't this come out in,say, October, when I can get more than 4 guys online on any given night? Spring time, with summer fast approaching,....its gonna be tough.

Also, VMF-323's strongest point is not ATA, but ATG, you got some sort of ATG squad vs squad thingy?

I can't imagine getting even 4 or 5 BK's to do anything all at the same time. Maybe as a joke we could tell the new guys it was a (LOL) "rule"....

Imagine the FDB score if Gordo quit to head up a Tribes2 clan, and Analmal actually had the Corvette and fine squeakes he claims to own and used them instead of flying.
The glory lost to fine pilots like me and SOB due to this BS squad score is a burden indeed.

Sturm - isn't there just 2 people in your squad?
I'm sorry, but it doesn't really qualify. There should be separate tables for small, medium and large squads.
For instance, "Whispering Death" has 15 members, of varying experience - it is unfair to compare it to a squad of just 2.

I think the AKs are the strongest squad because we have AKSWulfe in our group. He is young and single and can curl 500 lbs with his right arm alone (only 150 with his left).

Actually there are 3 of us bradys5, Wotan, and myself. I just reformed the group since I changed names we couldn't get a squad bbs, and brady is away so I can't invite him yet. There will never be more then 4 in the group do to historical reasons. We finished first overall and 7th in fighter score. I did read Hblair's post correctly. I was just thanking the squad for doing a great job this last tour finishing first overall.
You people really do amaze me. As far as group size guess we should start categorizing those that fly certain planes as well. Wait dont stop there if you have a group and you only fly certain amount of times limits you as well. People whining again. It never ends.
We worked as a group with DG's group a lot last tour. They helped us we helped them. We were well rounded dedicating to fighter and bomber missions and base taking as well. One side note look at the variety of fighters we flew last tour. Unlike some groups that fly one or two we flew them all.

Im finally back in the fold. Pyro and Yankee helped me with some connection problems and now im good to go.
Actually flew a little last night under a different handle.
As an outsider looking in, AH has come quite a long way since the last time I played. Some of the FM's feel better and the addition of clouds are nice.
Its time to dust off the rust and figure out this new strategy concept hehe.

I wasn't getting at you Sturm, it is an achievement to rank so highly. But can't you see my point? We need separate tables for different sized squads.
Larger squads are more likely to accept players with little or no experience (such as I was last July), and hence, the ranking suffers.
I think there should be a table for squads with 5 or less members, squads with 6-10 members, and those with 11+ members. I'd find that much more interesting.
Perhaps there ought to be a 'super-squad' category for those with 20+ members?

sturm... I think what people are saying is that having 2 people in a squad is pretty silly. Imagine how the BK's would rank if the squad was only drex and hooligan. I don't think your squad of 2 would do very well against that squad now would it? What you would have to look at is that some squads take in newbies... we have some that have never flown in any sim off or online.
I believe hblairs point is that the ranking does not mean skill... in your case you are again, gaming the ranks. In fact.. I would say that you are the best example of why all the rankings are worthless.

Point taken and your right. I withdraw my comment about that. Would be interesting to see, sometimes the bigger squads are able to amass a strong lead as well. And Dowd can you send me an email?

AAR:
The FDB's, obviously drunk and disorderly as usual found themselves a bit shorthanded. I had come along to "ride and watch" to see how pros fight on both sides. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) However, the FDB CO stuffed a case of Shiner Bock in my arms and strapped me into a cockpit.
Sadly, I merely provided a handy target for a variety of Assassins in the 4 ( I think) flights I flew. There were happy moments.
In the G10 as I dove low to try and escape the hunters, my dog ran under the computer table, hooked the cable and dragged the joystick about 10 feet. Instant auger. Wife wanted to know what all the cussing was about. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
All in all it was a lot of fun. Except of course for the parts where my plane exploded.
I could get on the six of an Assassin but could never close the deal before one of the wingies toasted me.
Excellent teamwork, gents! Was fun.
