Title: Successful PT Boat ending of mission
Post by: Kanth on December 21, 2002, 03:49:51 AM
Today a squadmate of mine was trying to rtb with his PT boat and I had asked on channel 1 but no one really knew how you could rtb successfully in a PT boat.

I was told there was supposed to be a buoy sitting out that you can exit near and get successful but that they weren't actually there.

Does anyone know how you exit the PT boat successfully landing when you have spawned from a base?

You need to mark the area that you spawn from when you use the H spawn in a PT. Then go back to that same spot and exit. I was told this but not totally sure if its true, gues one way is to spawn then exit without moving and see. It was something to the effect that you had to be real close to shore and near where you spawn.

If you spawn from a fleet just get back between the ships again and it will be a safe landing.

You didn't mislead me MZ, that's what I said.

'They should be there but aren't.'

Sorry I wasn't more clear, it wasn't meant as:

"Someone told me buoys and they weren't THERE!!! WRONG WRONG WRONG LIAR!!!"

it was meant as:

"someone told me there maybe buoys but they aren't there, why not? aren't they turned on? I will try parking near to the land see if that works"

I read my post again, entirely my wording at fault, I appreciate your help.
