I should have put this in my other post. I have the beta and there has ben no problems for me and none that I have heard of. As far as frame rate goes it will realy help the newest cards that can use the updates the rest of us it helps a little.

I took a frame rate hit and reverted back to dx8.1. I have an S3 graphics card though, average about 30 fps with dx8.1, it went down to about 15-20 with dx9.0. Think I'll wait for the 9.1 version to try it again.

Smooth running here.. FrameRates in AH went up 5+ in smoke bombed bases..

I saw no difference, but I guewss it is good to stay up to date - as I do with my nvida drivers anyway.

I downloaded catalyst 3.0 and DX9 together and installed... but AH performance dropped and even froze computer up completely.
Went back to previous catalyst 2.5 and performance/stability went back to normal.
So no problems with DX9, same performance as before on runway/takeoff/level flight through clear skies, but I haven't tried flying through smoke etc to know if anything changed there.

Put DX9 on my system yesterday. Haven't tried AH yet but everything else seems fine with a couple of exceptions. This is in no way a complete look but right off the bat (XP) "disk cleanup" hangs up and alt-tab in and out of games either works fine or crashes the game completely (AH and OpFlash).
