ok, this sounds like a really stupid question. but...
In the keyboard mapping, the "select secondary weapon" is used to switch guns/bombs/rockets.
The "select weapon" option does nothing, exept in the p-51 where it seems to make the secondary fire button, fire the primary guns. Also, while switched on, the frame rate drops horribly when firing.
any ideas?

Works fine for me.

Bozon I also have wondered about this, in the help file it says:
"SELECT PRIMARY WEAPON = \ "
but I also have no Idea ?
:)

On planes that have two standard gun sets, like the P51D, the select weapon will switch the primary from the single inboard .50s to the outboard dual .50s and it makes the single inboard .50s the secondary gun.
However, when I do that I also get VERY WEIRD results, like rapid ammo loss, frame rate jumps and jitters, sound irregularities and such things.
So, I treat it like kissing your sister. I avoid it at all costs
[ Not to say anything about YOUR sister, that is referenced to kissing ones own sister in general. ]

I think it's kind of like your appendix too, obsolete, and you only notice it when it gives you trouble.

I tried several planes with 6*0.5 and only in the p-51d it has any effect.

that's what i was refering to. it seems like a terrible loss of frame rate which must be a bug.

can we kiss each other's sister and avoid the problem ?

[ You must really hate your sister to even propose such an idea. ]
I havent tried it on too many planes once I saw the effect it had, switching the primary/secondary.
