Actually this technology will go on mass production. That means pricecuts big enough to make things possible for the average consumer.

I expect to see the prices drop to $1000 levels on smaller screens quite fast. Possibly this new tech will also drop the prices of regular TFT's which cant be a bad thing eh?

So basicly it's like those 3d things with the ridged plastic "lenses" over a two images split into alternating bands.  Not really new, just new being glued onto a computer display.

For general purpose use, there doesnt seem to be anything quite like the potential of head mounted displays.

There are technologies being developed which allow 3D imaging from different ranges and viewing angles.. It's not quite as simplyfied as Inno makes it look like.

The technology is nothing new. And you have to sit smack in the middle of the display, little left or a little right and the image is poked.

Save up for one of these (I've given up on iisvr to come out with the x-viewer).

(oh and it should work out of the box with AH from what I can tell, it maps the tracker to joystick axes, which AH supports for view inputs).

Vulcan thats where you're wrong. The new system lets you move sideways without losing 3D imaging.
