Title: Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital
Post by: Pooh21 on December 22, 2002, 01:48:43 PM
Was flying in on a buff today, gentle pull to pull lead, and "Crack!" From somewhere inside my stick. It now has no resistance to stick movement and doesnt return to center. Are there any sites out there for joystick maintenance?

HA, my wingman attack 2 lasted even longer than yours. I had that stick for like 3 years now and bought it for $7.99

I use the wingman extreme, and also have it break.  they dont
last but a year at the most.  I now buy the 1 year warrnety for 8 bucks and get a replacement when mine breaks.  If u take it
apart, there are prolly springs inside.  That is what broke.
(although ive never had it apart).. U may be able to get some
stronger springs.

Pooh21 - the wingman extreme digital is a good stick. Bought mine 4 years ago, and my brother is still using it.

I use the Saitek X-36 and have done for the last 2 years. :)

Sounds like the returning spring, or more likely, the bit of plastic the spring is attached has snapped. Pretty terminal, I should think. :(
