I did a 2 week trial last spring. Is there any way I can get that set back up again now that a few new versions have been released... or am I screwed?
-
or am I screwed?
I wouldnt say you are screwed, as this indicates you have been possibly treated unfairly.
I would say I understand you get one free two week trial only. There was a time when many were taking advantage of the two week trial to continually keep "trying" AH for two weeks at a time and never subscribing, so HTC closed that "loophole".
Go ahead and sign up for a month, you are only risking $15, and since you have already tried AH, you should have at least a basic idea what the game is about.

I think after a certain amount of time you are allowed to try again. Try it and see. Otherwise I guess send them an email - I bet they let you give it anothe go after so long a time.

Thx lads. I suppose I could always just use a different email alias etc. I just want to get a feel for what its like online lately, and I want to check out the CT arena in particular.

I found I wasted about the first week of my trial having no clue how the planes and game works, so I think they should give people ONE week trials every one or one and a half years
Just my $.02

Then there's always the option of learning how the game works offline and in H2H :D

Why is it that nobody ever thinks to read the manual? 99% of questions regarding the game(as opposed to how to fly) are answered there.

Read the MANUAL? HOW FUN IS THAT?? haha. No really, a newbie to flightsims would need (or should) to do both IMO.

If you are using the same computer (hardware) you cannot get 2 more weeks, sign up,it was a great sim/game (ducks) when you tried it last time, and it's gotten better :)

seems worth noting---------
When you tell people about the game-
They should DL & learn basics OFF-LINE. Between free access to this board, & free offline play before starting account. Coupled with the helpfile (select "help" tab on clipboard) I really cant see any aspect of the game that can't be learned BEFORE starting 2 week free trail.
Unfortunatley, like almost all others, I wasn't aware of that option. I spent my 1st free week setting up puter/stick/graphics, & the next 4-5 weeks in the TA learning to fly. When I became a big fish in the TA pond I made the move to the MA.
Its not an easy game, thats why its fun. Give yerself time & as many advantages as possible. Have Fun!
