Title: Unable to enter MA
Post by: Octavius on December 23, 2002, 11:37:59 PM
Just today I found a little problem.  Upon attempting to connect to the MA, AH takes a dump.  Other programs continue to run normally in the background.  The mouse pointer dies, keyboad control dies, and I am forced to reboot.

WinXP
AMD 1.2ghz

running any firewall.. i.e., zone alarm?

did you just get around to d/l 1.11 or playing it for first time after already having zone alarm working?

Neg, no zone alarm.  v1.11 has worked flawlessly since release.  I have, howerver, just installed a Linksys wireless router... but AH ran fine on that for a few days already.  I can succesfully enter the combat theatre and other arenas.  Perhaps its the current MA map?

could be...  might want to try d/l the terrains again...

or stick this in your settings folder - unzipping it first of course; it's the currterr.cfg file. (it helped someone who was having similar probelms - YMMV) (copy/move you current file into a safe place so u can restore it if this fix doesn't work.)

did you by any chance do anything to the router like upgrade firmware or mess with any settings?
