Has anyone considered doing an Operation Anvil-Dragoon set up. This was the invasion of the south of France on August 15, 1944?
It would interesting because of the considerable participation of U.S. carriers and naval aircraft (F6F, FM-2, TBM and SBD).
It would certainly require a new map though.
My regards,
Widewing

It sounds interesting, we could wing it form a map in stock, we could also pretend their were actualy Luftwaffe planes their defending it too.:)

Yeah.... LW planes versus USN 1944 iron.
Let's see now... If this goes according to the IJN/IJA vs USN, then the LW would be getting their vaunted 109-E and F's (1941 vintage?) aircraft and support planes.
Wow that'll be fun to play against F6F's, F4U-1D's and what ever else the USAAF has to toss at 'em.

Odee has a point Widewing.
However...................... . The is a Norway map, one of the CT ran a couple of months back. It reflected a similar operation off the coast of Norway. I can't remember the name, and all my cool WWII books are packed awy to make room for Christmas decoratioins. it was F6Fs, and F4U's against 109F's, 109G's, FW-190A5's and 190A8's. There were some RAF planes based at the Shetland islands too. It was a pretty good setup.

Although I just started to learn how to use the terrain editor, I actually started a new map using Operation Anvil as the premise. I am moving along slowly and not sure how well it will turn out though :(
