HI SKUZZY,Got boot to desktop 7 times in 2 hr tonight.Thought it happened only when over 400 guys up in MA. Tonight only 190.This been going on 2-3 mo. Have loaded current drivers and then switched back to old.Still the same. Doesn't happen in Train Arena. Running AthlonXP1900 1.6ghz, 256ddr,Gforce3 200ti64mb,60gigUdma100@7200,cable modem, have router bypassed direct to cable and still happens, EZtrust virus protect shut down. attaching ping and diadx. You need to crank down the hardware acceleration of the sound card to 3/4 in DXDIAG.

You should get the later SB driver as well.

Check for IRQ conflicts too.  I am assuming the cable modem is connected to an Ethernet card?

SKUZZY,Acceleration was down to 3/4 when gettn dumped to desktop. I had the latest 4109 drivers installed then the other guys I fly with said had problems with them so put them back to 3082 drivers. Will put the nbewer ones in.I also sent an email to support and they looked at the Diadx output and said it shows both VGA and RIVA TNT2 cards in registery. I don't see output or these names listed. Now I'm lost. Thanks for the quick reply!! RAJNmaw

I was the one that replied in the email.  Your Windows registry has both the RIVA TNT and VGA entries in it.

This is usually due to the inproper removal of the drivers before updating.  You need to clean out the registry as DirectX is still picking up the drivers for those devices.

ok...in game connect is almost flat line and smooth as silk,BUT i still don't see ping numbers and still can't host(at least no one can enter:confused:

You have a firewall?

Make sure ports 2000-5000 are all open for UDP and TCP traffic.

SKUZZY!!! Knockn on wood BUT have been flyn for 8 hr at different times and no boots!!!!!!! Never been this GOOD!! Think what was happening was when I got new hard drive,vidio cards,ect. at computor store they transfer from the old, all the drivers  I got new vidio cards installed and all the old ones were left in! Along with old moniters, keyboards,ECT.Went into Safe Mode and remove all the VGA and RIVA like you said and has been workn GREAT! And stuff I knew I didn't have. Also noticed the picture seems clearer. No boots tonight at all. Would have expected at least 5. Been dealing with boots for over a year since computor upgrade and all was transfered to the new one..
