From the scores page: "The Ship Gunner has 17039 kills and has been killed 78 times"
Thats a 218 to 1 K/D.
Maybe the Ships Guns should be perked? ;)

Ah.. they don't have to be perked.. I'd settle for SOME risk being associated with manning one.

As well as some sort of reward other than juust a kill message.

You should get some major perk points for killing a CV gunner. Think about all those guns firing at you as you go in.

I'm betting over 95% of those are proximity kills from the acks.

I am betting that you are 95% wrong. :)
I do agree that killing a ship gunner or sinking a ship for that matter, should provide more perks to the killie.

Why should it reward more perks with the current setup? its possibly the easiest 5 perks you will ever get, and that is if you die in the process.
Make um tougher to kill and hell yes make it worth more perks, simply because 5 perks is mearly a "pat on the back" and im sure that a pilot who would sink a carrier in war would get much more recognition.
Sinking one now is only worth a pat on the back IMO, its entirely to easy. Ive sunk one before diving with one wing after getting hit with the ACK, still managed to land 6 rockets on deck.. to easy.

Agreed, if you sink the Cruiser, then all that were aboard her manning guns should be rewarded to the pilot that sank her.

I think that if you are manning a gun and the ship gets blown out from under you you should be able to "bail" from the ship.
