Woops, missed and got stuck here instead. (Note that the plane IS stopped)
-
or if your CV happens to have been sunk...
-
I can't see how you do that:)
After a long retirement I'm back guys
-
Innomin is that a safe landing from the second pic?

Safe as in engine-off, not moving yes.
.ef counts as a ditch though=/

The B5N2 has an unbelievably low stall speed. You can set it down on the CV with practically no forward momentum relative to the CV.
Its freaky.
-
when u set your wind speed high enough so you can land like an helicopter.
-
Man!
Look at the size of those cleats!!!!
-
lol yep...did that for a bit...GREAT FUN especcially in a lancaster 3 on the condos...or a pony on the church (HARD AS HELL)
-
Wow! Those are cleats, Holy Crap!!!!!!!
-
Actually, they're launch rails for seaplanes.
-
I can land a b5n2 on a hanger without any wind ...

Oh, hehe. :o Hummmm, launchin ramp eh? Ahem, HITECH!!!!!
Ya have a launching ramp for seaplanes on your cruisers, now we need a seaplane for the launching ramps :D
What would be a good seaplane for those launching ramps ?????
:D
-
Heh, ramps eh? Sorry Bonden I think I dragged you down into my liliputlian world there for a minute :D
There was one seaplane nicknamed the 'Flying Porcupine' due to the inordinate amount of guns sticking out of it. Quick link http://www.vectorsite.net/avsund.html Could be too big for those cleats though ;)
-
Hya Trikky - np m8. All for the better because now everyone will see the need for a seaplane for the launching ramps :D

LOL, sure Karnak, maybe a NewB would believe it, they've never experienced 125mp/h winds :D

carrier go at 35mph. the b5n2 can fly at 50-55mph.
-
it can? never knew that  maybe cause I dont fly jap. planes often.
will certainly change that after this :D

tnx for the link Trikky.
I once heared a story of a German U-boat Captain: he had to go up for air and got attacked by an "Emily", they shot at it and their 20mm bullets just bounced of the cockpit, and saw the both wings fully lightened by firing guns
the BOTH WINGS FULLY BRIZZLED WITH GUNS!!!

So buzzing through hangers is no longer in fashion? It landing one on top thats the trick now.

it's okay still as long as you're inverted. :p

While the Short Sunderland is freakishly too large for the launching platforms, there are many pics of SB2U Kingfisher seaplanes on them....

Finally found a pic!

I know how he does it I've done it before!
In map editor you set the object as "Runway" then u can land without blowing up (if ur going about 90mph) but still extreemly hard.
-
actully its done by turning collisions off and putting the wind to about 120 mph then just hovering above the hanger and lightly touching down

I did not cheated in any way. bring flaps to lowest, ride the stall horn, and play with throttle carefully.
no wind. no playing with collisions.

hmm, very usefull those seaplane-ramps.....if we had seaplanes like that Vought Kingfisher of Ridge and the Grumman J2F-6 'Duck'
or the Consolidated PBY Catalina.
Consolidated PBY Catalina.
