1.  Speaking to close to mic

2. How can you here your own voice.

3. Mic should be on mute.

OR are you saying other people's voices breaks up?

You shouldn't be able to hear your own voice.  Double click your speaker icon and go into the Master file and check the mute box.

Turn your microphone balance to "mute" otherwise all you will hear is feed back thru your speakers

In "Voice Setup" I check the "Wave option"

That all I know to tell you ... good luck

Let me clarify,

When he transmits I could only hear maybe 1 word out of 5 or 6.

I suspected his net connect but he said it showed flat & no major spikes in AH.

Not sure what the cause is but any time he transmits major chunks of what he's saying doesn't come though at all.

Just the carrier wave. Then poof, you hear another piece 6 or 7 seconds after the last one.

This was the same for everyone who heard him so I know it wasn't my end.
(Tested mine out with someone else & all ok)

Sounds like his net connection may be overflowing causing loss of UDP voice packets.

In this instance, we do not switch to TCP, as it is not deemed a critical component to flying.

What type of Internet connection do you have?

Rogerdee,

Just for elimination purposes, I use NTL broadband from the UK at just 128
So far as I am aware, my Vox is generally OK although I don't use it much.

cheers
