I wanna get a good tank game....on my old system i had MicroProses Across The Rhine....and i loved it...the ability to be the tank commander or gunner was great...but also being able to command the whole battalion was fun also...is there a newer game that would do about the same...ww2 of course

The only one I know of is Panzer Elite. It is kind of old and the graphics are a bit dated, but its still a lot of fun. I think you can pick up the "Special Edition" now for about $15. It includes several campaigns from North Africa to Normandy, etc. You control your own tank and command a platoon. There's a lot of attention to detail to armor, penetration, etc.

The Combat Mission series is a great armor game, but you don't control the tanks directly. You give orders to their commanders.

LOL SOB, sorta like Worms, that game :D
Love Worms. Have all versions of it. Still I suck at it. :D

Whispers quietly....WW2 Online?
-
Adds quietly: where a luger achieves clear penetration when firing on your feeble Mathilda, where the armour value of a tree trunk is so realisticly modeled it will topple your 30-ton tank.
-
Adds loudly where Panhards are the uber-tank of the universe, and where 7.7mg from aircraft disable a Panzer IV.
