Well nash I have been dealing with quite a share of 2 week wonder amazinhunks in my H2H games latley, their time limit has expired and now they cant play the MA so they join my games, dont follow rules and constantly squeak that HTC is a buch of amazinhunks who are greedy for not letting the play for free...so by all means take them under yer wing.
sorry but i feel that way from experence, I call em like I see em and the majority of em I call amazinhunks.

Well yeah, I guess I can understand that. I just don't think it's a cool thing to be on the defence for every new name that pops up in yer buffer. Out of every twenty-five of those guys, twenty may be jerks, granted, but 5 of 'em will be guys like us - who've found this kinda thing for the first time... like we did... and who'll be pretty cool guys to fly with and get to know over the years.
When someone's asking questions, having trouble or even getting frustrated, I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt.
It's great news that we may be getting more people. I figure that we gotta deal with it with uhm... patience, a sense of humour, and on occasion yeah, a pretty thick skin. But it's worth it.

Each and every one of us was a new guy once! I was treated alright by you guys when I joined the game from Warbirds a year ago! And I was treated alright by you lot over at Warbirds when I joined the arena. Took off in a B17 and tried to fly half way across the field because I didn't know how to change field. That was 3 and a half years ago.
If we want this game to be successfully we need more members. The minority give the majority a really toejamty name.
I was new once.
You where knew once.
Treat them with some respect. If they don't treat you with respect then fine. Walk away. I have encountered 4 newbies in the TA who all asked for help. They where all really nice guys and could not stop talking about how much the game ruled.
Believe me. They are not all bad.

Wobble - correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you a newbie who doesn't actually have a subscription to AH? And I think you've done your fair share of acting like a 12 year old.
Basically we need new players.

I had a subscription but I canceled it a while back, how when have I ever acted like a 12 year old? ive been an amazinhunk before, of coures most everyone has at 1 point or another...for instance look at Yourself now.

The only real chance for AH to survive long term is if we can somehow double our numbers of paid accts (hence getting HTC in the black)
New names & faces come in waves, been that way since beta, & I don't see it changeing anytime soon. It is indeed up to us old hands to set the example. Both in the air and on the text buffer.

Everyone should really put forth an effort to help out any new player that comes into our community. I see too many people being rude to others just because they're new. It doesn't matter where they come from. I used to be a big Quaker player. Are you saying I'm not welcome here? Anyone can learn to fly with honor and skill. It's just up the individual as well as the community to encourage it.
This game isn't about discrimination. It's about bringing people together and having fun. If you want this game to succeed in the long run, you have to support and help the new players. I like helping the newbies especially on their first coordinated missions...
I remember when i did the first and how this captured my interest in flying online.

Dowding...I posted that over 2 moths ago, your pathetic.. Maby if you ever read postis insted of just cut and pasting them and squeaking, its kinda sad that you lack the mental capacity to do more than just cut, paste and then label...like I said PATHETIC.

This isnt your typical Quaking/Counterstrike type of players game.
No instant gratification (ie. the often exclaimed: you diddlying camper)
and considering the short attention spans of most teenage first person shooter fans...we've got nothing to worry about from those droogs.
Oh before the PC types act up about I used to play xxxx...I still actively play HL/CS so I have intimate knowledge of thier psyche!

If any game (yes, I said "game") needs new blood it's this one. Even nash can be right (agree with me) on occassion.... the more the merrier! Hell.... couple hundred more players and we might even get some early war planes.... All you guys that are too good for new guys can just fly "realistically" at 30K... end of problem.
