Title: Can't get my brakes to work
Post by: maxtor on January 06, 2003, 10:09:20 AM
I can not get my wheel brakes to work.   Not on keyboard or on stick.  I have mapped and I have remapped both - for example the joystick.  The mapper seems to function correctly (button indicates on mapper control panel when I press it)  However when I go to use the function, no brakes.

All other functions map fine and normal (flaps, guns, etc etc etc.)

I am clueless - any suggestions?

(going to post this in technical support)

Check and make sure your throttle is calibrated correctly your brakes might be functioning but your throttle might not be all the way to idle.

make sure you are holding down the button, the brakes are not a toggle command, you must hold down on them, i mapped them to a switch on my throttle control instead off a button, that way i just turn the switch on and they stay on, hope this helps

wheels must be on the ground to work. c and v are the ones i use for right and left wheel brakes or space for both at the same time.
