Had no idea that the cable love muffin show was not an original idea. Here is the old 1950's black and white version.

Sure that isn't a mannequin? I was gonna ask if it was a dummy, but I think the answer is yes either way.
Reminds me of my childhood in alot of ways actually. How I ever survived is a bloody wonder.

Ur not kidding. When I was growing up, my family and I used to go up to Ely Minnesota (where my dad grew up). My cousin and I spent our time jumping our bikes. One year, we got the bright idea to set the jump up at the bottom of Finn hill.
Finn Hill has got about 300 foot vertical over about 90-100 feet horizontal. Its a helluva grade. Well, we walked the bikes up the hill (it was too steep to pedal up) and away we went.
I coasted down the hill, my cousin, pedaled also so he hit the jump first AND considerably faster. Nevertheless, neither one of us landed upright. Luckily, we we young, loose and didn't get seriously hurt.
A couple of years ago while visiting up there (older and wiser) I tried it again, this time, with no jump at the bottom just to see how fast I was really going. At the bottom of the hill, I topped out just under 35 MPH. There was someone looking out for us that day :D

Its a manequin.
A friend said he heard (and then saw) this at the New Years party he went to: "Guys, come quick, Bob's going to rollerblade off the roof." Bob started the new year with a broken ankle.
As for jumps on bikes as kids... I dunno how I survived childhood. Evel was the king and we were his loyal disciples. If Evel jumped a bus, we jumped something that looked like a bus. If Evel jumped Hells Canyon, we jumped a drainage ditch. I built both sending and recieving ramps which led to even more spectacular whipeouts. The best was someone who hit right at the base of the recieving ramp and flipped over the bike while holding onto the handlebars. He landed on his feet in front of the bike (on the ramp) without a scratch.
Don't even get me going on the things we did with cable spools (freinds dad worked for Ma Bell).

LOL Ahh the memories. We used to jump ditches at the Quarry outside of town.We used a "borrowed" Wooden road sign.the ones that have the big black arrow on em about 3 ft by 2 ft.The most memorable one was hitting the ramp and pulling on the bars and having the yoke snap off in my hands leaveing me with the handle bars pointing up and me with no control.I kicked the bike out from under me and went sailing off into never never land.Amazes me how I survived childhood.I had the front wheel come off one time after leaving the ramp too.Nothing like that sudden stop as the forks dig in to the dirt causing you to walk funny for days :)
