That was the initial beta model where the right hand was used.  Extensive "testing" showed the pen tended to mark up and chaff their thighs.  The simple solution was to move it to the left hand.

Seems simple enough.

And if we don't got beer:
Step 3b. "Woman, run to the store and get me six. And make 'em cold."

Ahhhh, I see the problem. This is the beer winch's hand, thus the lack of hair on the palms.
