Title: OT: Questions about old game Air Warrior III
Post by: Ditch on January 11, 2003, 03:08:21 PM
Hi,

This is my first post on this forum. I used to play Air Warrior III on Gamestorm and was wondering if there's anyone here who knows what happened to to that game and the company, Kesmai, that ran it? It seems EA is involved somehow with it now but I can't find any more information.

Been thinking of trying Aces High, don't know much about it yet. Any ol AW people here at all? I played as Ditch in FR Big Pac, SFRT then JG26 squadrons.

Thanks for any replies.

EA bought out Kesmai, then proceeded to shut down AW.

AH is the place to be now.

Hi Ditch  :)  Sorry you had to hear about the demise of Air Warrior in this way, but the plug was finally pulled in the early hours of December 7th 2001, about 6 weeks after everyone at Kesmai had been laid off.  I have been here ever since..... actually was playing both from April 2001..... and if you do try Aces High, I think you will recognise a lot of other names from AW too!  I was Flos of course in AW, but changed it to Flossy when I came here.  :)

AH beats AWIII hands down, without question.  I came over about a year before EA screwed AWIII up beyond repair and then closed it down.

AH is more difficult to get used to, but once you do, it's worth it!
