Hi Mates

I fly with 249RAF regularly and in between I enjoy some of the other aspects of AH.

I particularly like the Naval aspect.  The fleet with the ability to take down and capture airfields, etc.

Would like to see an addition aspect to the fleet.  Would it be possible to set up the Destroyers like the PT's.  That is, have one destroyer with maybe 1 to 3 AI that could be controlled by one person.  Activate the 5in gun, add a 40mm and say, three torp tubes (with a total of 12 onboard).

With the 5in guns, destroyers could get in close to the beach and cover landings by Lvt's, etc.  Also would make good screens for the fleet and could even attack enemy fleets.

Would, IMHO, add an addition aspect to the fleet operations that would make it more interesting with more things to participate in.
Would setting that up be a lot of trouble?

Swell idea and I don't see why we can't have major rivers with enough draft for patrol craft with up to 3" guns either.

Barges with materiel to sink?

Bridges to blow?
