I try... :D

I'm not frightened of flying, but some of the pilots are frightening.
-
the russian space shuttle (Buran) has auto landing feature and their shuttle can still be landed safely with winds up to 30 mph
-
that wind looke like alot more than 30mph ... anyone read that info @ the end.. IE wind conditions and such?
-
I'm guessing that was way more than a 30 mph wind.
-
Yeah you can see he's got it crabbed so much that the nose is actually pointing to the left of the camera. Also you can see a lot of debris flying in the foreground. Must have been a heck of a storm.
-
Heh.
In the opening credits it reads "Um grand susto," or A big scare/fright.
Around Christmas Portugal experienced a lot of wind storms, they even managed to destroy housing in some areas. But I don't know the exact details of this flight.
-
with a boeing the pilot can over-ride the computer, with a airbus the pilot cannot.

Hey Bob.. can we go around for a second pass.. that cross wind was too easy! Figure the cross wind to be at least 50mph.. maybe more.. I wouldn't want to try it.... Unless I was paid well :D Oh, and I had an ejection seat!!
