Does anyone have a P-51, P-47 or F4U Pilot's Operating Handbook?
I am particularly interested in the Taxi and Takeoff checks.
If so, could you scan and post same? or E-Mail to me?
Thx in advance.

I know these aren't the pilot manuals, but you may want to check out some of the movies here. There is one on the P-38 and P-47.

First of all Navy doesn't taxi. I believe the takeoff check involves applying one's foot to a round rubber object...

I dont have the link to a P-51's manual (I hate that paper plane anyway)...but I do have the COMPLETE operating manual for the P-38!
This guy has a great site, check it out!

If ya watch the f4u film on the http://www.zenoswarbirdvideos.com/main.html (http://www.zenoswarbirdvideos.com/main.html) it runs through the taxi and landing checklist....
Flap, rudder, trim setting, cowl flaps, cooling flaps etc..
was interesting...
if I ever had to do it fer real I'd die by fergetting sumpin....
(f4u is only one I've looked at.. can't say about the others...)
The interesting thing was they were on a switchable knob turned thang in the dashboard. Hard to read on my 15" monitor, but perhaps it was the grainy picture too.
