Just mailed Tex a film I made August 8th, 1994. I know that because I typed into the radio buffer: Tex vs. Grinch 080894, heh.
-
Thanks voss...that doesn't seem familiar...thought it had 77's in it somewhere.
Oh well.

I think I have several past AW DOS camps
scores archived on one of my machines here.
If I have time later I'll fire them up and
have a look.
Did you fly any scenarios? I've got a TON
of old scenario mission plan documents that
I generated as a command staffer. Lot's of
roster data there but not easily searched.

Well, I checked out three different films with Ice in the header. Called you by name, and you responded (even called smurfs flying zekes 'sissies'), so it was definately you! :)

This is your second foray after the dreaded banana split. Say "Hi!" to your wife for me, pretty sure she hated me back then. ;)

Little doubt of that I'm sure. Most likely though if the host hadn't told you who got the kill you gang bangin bastages would still be arguin about it.

Hey Buzzard. Can't believe some of you old farts are still around. Nostalgia is killing me right now. I was Rave 3353 in Old GEnie circa late 1993- early 1994. Flew with ::IAF:: (Tomcat, Hidalgo, etc) mostly, but when I first got on, it was Slayer taught me the ropes with JG26. Really miss everyone from then - Slayer, Rasta, Propwash, Tomcat, you, Athos (Musketeers) and all the rest.
I peaked at 13th on ther fighter list around Christmas 1993 during Camp 102. Ran out of money at the wonderful old $3 an hour...ouch, those were the days.
-
You do realize you bumped a thread that was last replied to in 2001? Just so you know, those folks might be gone by now, and might not reply.
-
Ah Krusty, always ready with that bucket of cold water. :D

SRI, Buzz passed a few years ago. Cancer. If it makes you feel better, I can call you "cupcake" in his honor. :)
-
Whoever bumped this,, thanks.
I found my score from August 1993 . I had forgotten my user ID over the years. It was 5340, callsign Jager. God those were the days, something like $3 an hour plus I was paying LD charges on top of that. I could only afford to play maybe 3 hours a week. Now 14 years later, my old butt can only stay awake three hours a week to play. :lol
-
In my nostalgiac excitement, I overlooked the obvious on the thread date until right after hitting submit.(doh)
I saw mention of Buzzard in another post afterward and was truly sorry to hear that. He was a lot of fun to fly with/against. That community was a very close, tight knit group and it amazes me so many people can still remember names and numbers. How many other games (besides AH) can that really be said of. Must just be a pilot mentality thing.
I'm glad the bump was appreciated. For any interested, the old scores (and cpid's if you can remember when you were playing) are here: http://www.tamcon.com/awscores/
