we all know how some people clamor the the insta-action ACM furballing where they won't get hassled by buffs hitting the base.
the DA has a perfect location for that on the east side of the map, bases 41,42 and 43... that's what this area is for... a fighter town as it were.
personally i think they're about 5 miles too far apart from each other which makes it take longer to get into that "furball."
however, barring a major map change, i think it'd be a great idea if the default location when someone enters the DA would be that free-for-all area. if this was so, perhaps it'd see a little more use (esp if the bases were moved a bit closer to each other, but....) and if people saw more #'s in the DA they may come to check it out for a break from the hordes in the MA, or a change of gameplay pace.
it'd be nice if the "furballers" in the TA could also be encouraged (maybe a addition to the MOTD?) to play in the DA FFA area. part of the TA appeal is that killshooter is off and people can get into action a lot quicker.
hmmm i wonder... if those 3 bases could all be made one side, say... rooks, while the rest of the DA bases are knits/bish, and settings for rooks is "killshooter off." is that possible? it might also encourage more people to make use of that interesting aspect of the DA.
just an idea.
dunno how the "perkie" rides could be controlled... maybe they could be disabled at the FFA bases? of course someone could always fly over from anothe rbase on the map, but... i think for the most part the FT community would be relatively small and self-policing from people doing stuff like that.

Go for it.
I'd keep the bases as is.
Get them too close and people you just killed re-up too quick and back to the same fight. That becomes nothing more than a pig feast.

Turning off Killshooter would be fantastic in the DA.

Currently they're almost 2 sectors from eachother (if I remember correctly). Shouldn't be much more than 1 sector, then it might be fun (if it draws a few players).
