What current Directx do I need to have installed? I currently downloaded but have not installed Directplay 8.2. Once installed it can not be removed. Thought I better ask first. Directplay 8.2 includes 8.1b plus some directplay fixes.

What ever u do but stay away from DX 9.0
Best is 8.1
Dunno about 8.2 but i wouldnt take it

In the hardware & software forum about a month ago was a thread about DX9.

"Dx buster/remover works great with DX 9.0" by defiance.  Has exact instructions.

Go ahead & install 8.2 or 9.0 secure in knowing that yes you CAN get rid of it.

In my case was 9.0, 3 days later back to 8.1 no problems.
