Outstanding job, HTC!   The doppler effect external sounds are amazing.  I spent more time in the tower watching (and listening to!) planes roll by than I did flying.  Still haven't spotted any trains and convoys -they must not last too long in the hectic MA.

My system took a frame rate hit too, and is getting near playability limits (15-25 fps). But I'm not concerned yet - I haven't tried any of the tweaks that I've heard are listed in the beta forum, and you guys have always added a patch or two in the past to improve frame rates when a new release has been hard on them.  I run a PIII 500 MHZ, 128Meg RAM, Viper 770 TNT 32 Mb vidcard, DX 8.0.

To others suffering from frame rate hits - its to early to throw in the towel.  Wait at least a week for any patches, and go give some of those tweaks a try!   Let us know what your results are.

So congratulations, HTC, and thank you!  You guys set the standard for smooth Production releases.
