Hey everyone,
just curious what type of music and what groups do you listen to when your flying and get tired of listening to the jibber jabber on the mic?
I myself perfer Red Hot Chili Peppers and Steve Miller.

Just about anything, but AC/DC is probably my most used flying music. I've been listening to less music while flying since the advent of in-game vox tho'. I can't seem to find a balance between music volume and vox volume that doesn't make it impossible to hear half the people on vox. Not that my squaddies ever say anything worth hearing, but it makes them feel better if I pretend I'm interested in what they're saying. :D

When going into a huge furball, most anything off the Kill 'em All CD by Metallica will do, but The Four Horsemen gets the blood flowing the best :D
-
IRON MADEN (they have a song called aces high) all there songs
GUNS N ROSES all there stuff
realy any kind of angry music oh and who can forget THE TOP GUN ALBUM!!!!
-
Wagners Ride of the Valkyries :D
Napalm Death (http://www.enemyofthemusicbusiness.com)
Cypress Hill, Here is something you can't understand
-
Rammstein
Offspring
Bloodhound Gang (or what is the name of this group?)
But most of the time I have the music turned off since I need to concentrate on the singing of some of my squaddies on the squad VOX channel...
But fromt he 3 above named groups the last one has 1 song that suits quite well to AH... All you have to do is to substitute the word "roof" in it for "buff" :D
And then you have something like this: "The buff.... The Buff... The Buff is on fire...."
Oh well... :D
-
I would listen to anything the Gorillas have, or in those deperate battles that one song goes Da Da Da Da Da ChCHChCh like that. .
Even better 25 or 6 to for, or THe Ace of Spades, Or I Want To Paint It Black.:D  :p

I'm using that as my default engine sound!!!! If you loop it, its oddly relaxing...

i usually keep the music off so i can concentrate more. immersion is key.
when i do feel like drowning out the cries of squadmates, i usally go to http://www.di.fm and listen to either the trance or eurobeat mp3 streams. they come in at high quality and usally go really well with fast-paced dogfighting.

Kanth, I'm shattered.
You REALLY listen to that without someone pointing a gun at your head? Or, for our er.. brothers across the sea... a sharp object at your throat?
;)
-
BTW, I like to listen to the .50 Rhapsody in E(xplosion) Major by John Browning.
-
Oh, do you recognize that one? ;)
I like it, it makes me smile. :D

The best for Aces High IMO is the entire Signals albulm and the new Vapor Trails albulm. Whenever I am in a C47 I love listening to Ghostrider off the new albulm. Hoping and praying I am like a Ghost trying to sneak into that field covered in vulching enemies.
:D

:) Been a Rush Fan since there first album.Saw em In DC one time .Neil is a god

Someone mentionned Britney Spears, Straffo ... you owe me five bucks ! :D

HT: can you add an audio player to AH? You could have it play music while flying then cut out whenever AHVoice is activated. Have it set up to play winamp or wmp playlists. That would be cool.

tried listening to prodigy once to get the blood pumping in a fuball....
i never died quicker
i started to make manuevers to the beat and lost control. also tried to gun to the beat and missed. all subconscience movements but enough to make me realize that i need to hear that engine sound, the enemies engine behind me (i keep my eng sound down enough to do this), the hit sounds of damage, all that stuff.
oh well my 2¢

Currently have the "warning.wav" replaced by a wav. of the Soviet national anthem - good ingame war music every 10 minutes or so. :D
-
Most of the time I listen to the Radio..Classic Rock.. If I'm in a bad mood..maybe some Nine Inch Nails..Manson...Savatage...an d a few others..
Then the call classic Pink Floyd, AC/DC, and some V. H.
-
Anything Elvis.
And thank the Lord that you are not on our squad VOX.
-
easy: Iron Maiden-"Aces High".
"Highway to the danger zone"
Survivor-"Eye of the tiger"
basically anything related to planes and/or fighting
-
oh, and 99 Red Ballons, by Nena (the German version :))
-
Savatage (especially Dead Winter Dead)
Rhapsody
Bruce Dickinson
Rush (there are all gods:)
Dio
Judas Priest
Iron Maiden
Queensryche: Empire
Halford
Megadeth: Coutndown to extinction
Energy and emotion is what I look for in music.
P.S.: Im surprised someone else mentioned Savatage, they're not very popular for some reason I just cant understand. Best metal band America as produced IMO. Metallica is ok but its a bit simplistics IMO.
