Post by: Sachs on January 18, 2003, 08:59:12 PM
Is it worth buying to fly the DO-335?  I just want to know because I would love to see this is AH but it is in CFS3 sooooo??

I bought MS CFS III because I quite liked the previous two versions but I don't like the third installment of this sim series. I runs like a dog unless you have a high end system and the flight model doesn't seem to model stalling very well if at all, you can yank the stick around for a long time before it even starts to become unstable. That being said if you have a high end system then it will look nice and the campaign system is good and perhaps the rumoured patch will fix the flight models?

Just have got to post this reply..  Long story short (and after much reading about CFSIII).

I've been a sim enthusiast since the early 80's with Falcon v1,on an 8088 in CGA.  Seen and tried them all.

Bought CFSIII a week ago, just to say I did, and give 'er a try, while my AH Internet Connection was out.

Installed ugly, needed tweaking beyond the normal mortal PC users understanding to run "fair".

Visuals, and FM's, so-so,

Runs choppy at best with a non P4-2.5 GhZ box

Bottom line, I would not play this sim if I was bored.  Nor, knowing what I know now, would I accept the full package (manuals included) as a free gift.

My .02 cents..
