Anyone know how I stop those Messenger Sevice ads from poppin up? I never saw them until XP.

Tribbets, did you perchance install some spyware? Like the Divx5 codec that was posted on this site?

I wish there was a way to stop them with win 98. :(

I believe in 98 it's winpopup.exe
Start/Settings/Control Panel/ Add Remove Programs/System Tools/ Winpopup (it's at the bottom)
edit: unless you've isnstalled msn messenger, I dunno if they included an extra pop up with that, my guess would be that they did and that'd also what they included in their later OS's as the messenger service.
