Who cares?

Sure, it's entertaining to see what some of the freaks in Hollywood wear when they know it will be on TV, but come on.

Six (6!) people sit in an office and decide who will be nominated.  Then 90 people cast their votes from a list that has been provided to them by the previously mentioned six.

I think it's great that actors/musicians have started to stop showing up for these made-for-TV events.

Do we really need another entertainment awards show?

Oscars, Emmys, Tonys, Grammys, People's Choice, MTV Music Video Awards, Golden Globes, blah blah blah.
