well, there area few steps you need to do,,,first reload all your direct x,,,reload your vid card drivers,,,and check your sound card,,,,,do you have a old sound card?,,turtle beach montago?,,,seems like your computer is old anuff to have one,,,my buddies computer had the same problem,,he couldnt play more than a few seconts with out it locking up,,,because his sound card has a c-media chip on it<~~and it will cause aces high to lock up and random,,and loss of sound,,,,after we replaced it,,,had no troubles,no more lock ups
and you mite have to bite a bullet and get a new vid card,,voodoo's are not suported anymore and will give you more trouble than its worth

Ok i am pertty sure i will need to get another video card. AH worked before back before the JU87 was added i cannot understand why it wont work now. Can anyone reccommend a AGP Video Card that is not over $100 that would work well. And any one want to buy my used Voodoo 4500 32meg AGP card :p

you can get a nice cheap geforce 2 64mb card for about 39 bucks at best buy or about any computer store...and if you wanted to pay a little more you could get a agp geforce4 mx440 ddr for about 80bucks and it will run any game you need<~~for there price those are the best cards on the market for cheap good reliable 3d grafics

I,m still running a voodo 4 on my new pc. Celeron 1.7 , 512 megs DDR333. With vsynch enabled my frame rates are from 75 down to 40. I'm using the last whql cert drivers from 3Dfx. So for this game a voodoo 4 is just fine, for other newer games it might be a different story, its next on my upgrade list.
Back to your lock ups though, I doubt it is from your voodoo 4. My new mb has on board sound using the c media 8738 chip and it was causing lockups. Updating to the newest drivers from the c media site fixed that.
Not much help ffor you really, just didn't want you to by a new video card if you dont need it.
