Hello,
A while back I found a red mouse cursor someone had made. Tonight I experimented with my own and I made a blue fade design. I couldn't use the existing AH cursor, as it would only allow grayscale, but I made a new one of exactly the same size, and I even included the magenta background. AH didn't start!!! It started to load and then the screen went black and I'm left on my desktop. Is there anything I need to do to make a custom cursor? I made a custom background a while back and it never had this sort of problem. thanks!

in most cases that I have the "crash" its because I've forgotten to drop the color count back down to 256 before saveing the file. Other than that, your on your own :)

Maddog, how do you drop the colors to 256 in Paint? I used the custom colors to create a neat effect with blue fade, but couldn't find any 256 option. Thanks in advance!

Dont use paint for it, use a real image editor to convert it, they will dither and make things look reasonably decent.

Hmmmm........ Colored cursor? Cool. I could use one and also something other than a SILVER plane to mark my location on the Map.
Are either or both available somewhere for download?
Thanks for the info,

np ! :) I always have trougle adding color, because you have to return your finished pic down to 256 colrs.... otherwise the game crashes when you launch the "new" item, and that "pink" background is the color you need for it to be transparent, not one shade lighter or darker.
When I get some time, I'll try a few more :)
