Title: A Spit Dweeb?

I used to fly the Pony and was called a Pony Dweeb.

I now am flying the Spit V and was called a Spit Dweeb.

I also fly from time to time the FM2 and was just called a dweeb.

Now are these insults directed at me because I fly a dweeby aircraft, or because I myself am a dweeb?

And to complicate things further, HT calls me Putzoid or something like that. Then some others on the board called me some really bad names.

What's wrong with me and why don't folks love me?

If you want to avoid the taunts you should just auger every sortie because once your handle hits the buffer here it comes.

spit dweeb = i suck and leviathan killed me again

Certain planes come with the "dweeb" handle and others don't. Subcatagories of a certain aircraft by type may or may not apply.

Now everyone here knows that a P51D pilot is a Pony dweeb. That goes without saying :D

But would you call a P51B pilot a Pony dweeb ?? I wouldn't. This pilot chose the B over the D for reasons only known to him. Is he a Pony dweeb ?? I think not.

Along the same lines the word "dweeb" if I'm not mistaken ( with the information I have ) was first associated with a Spit pilot. The words are in harmony with each other. They roll of the tongue with ease....Spit dweeb.

Now I would put forth that Spit IX pilots are the essence of the term Spit dweeb. Tend to go overboard with there love of the Spit as Thrila has demenstrated.

In my view a Spit V pilot is not a dweeb for the same reasons a 51B pilot isn't. Given the choice they walk the sunlit road rather then the road of dweebishness..

La7 pilots don't factor in here. There just another lag pilot. Nothin to see here, the plane doesn't have the charactor to be a dweeb plane. It...ain't got nothin, it's just a lag, one of many..

190 dweebs, you bet. If it's an A8 I wouldn't think so, I mean it's an A8..

Ever seen a dweeb zeke pilot ?? P40 pilot ?? Jug Pilot ( well maybe frenchy :D )

How would you break down dweeb planes from non dweeb planes ??

The list is short for dweeb planes in my view.

I don't think of a dweeb plane in a bad way, it has to have an "aura" to be one.

A lag has all the aura of a cardboard box..

A dweeb plane has an aura..

Technicaly speaking it is a Lag. They changed the name to La-5 From Lag-5 in september 1942. Its still a Lag though.

It's all in the name. How could anyone love a guy named Rude :D

Aside from that, everyone knows true dweebs drive Mustangs, so you can't be a dweeb anymore.

Spit pilots should be called droolers anyway. They've got barely enought mental power to keep their lower lip from hanging out. ;)

On the Lake Uterus map I made the fatal mistake of getting low and slow. As I turned to engage an incoming Spitfire, I stalled and nosed my Yak into the edge of the cliff (20 yards more and I would've cleared it :rolleyes: ). Rude scores without a shot!

YAK9-T = my fav. ride...only 32 rounds.....but ooooooooohhhhhhhh baby do they hurt:eek:....been called a dweeb in a yak....mental delusions of a spit9 dweeb gettin his teeth pulled out without novacaine...had to put em of his misery:eek:

BUFFS = they shoot back...not fair:mad: ...fuggin buff dweebs:rolleyes:

OK. You got me there. I will agree with you that the Hurri IID is a NON-DWEEB ride. Though the 40mm does hit quite hard, there is no spray factor, so calling it a "skill" ride is appropriate.

I grabbed a Spit V the other day and got 9 kills on the 1st flight. I must say after flying the jug for a month the Spit almost feels like arcade. :D I'm having alot of fun furballing again too. Usually outnumbered...
