F4F-3S Wildcatfish, first flight February 28, 1943.
Was developed due the USN being concerned about the number of carriers or land bases available in the Pacific from which to fight the Japanese. Luckily, the industrial power of the US in WW2 proved these concerns unfounded and CV's were being built at an incredible pace.

I'd lean more towards the "catfish" of course that's just a guess from the file name. :)
