Dam Busters used to practice near me, on the local resevoir (long before I was born tho.) Even have a pub or two named after them (the 617th).
Now, some Barnes Wallis Ordnance would be a welcome addition to AH weaponry - Oooh, a 12,000lb bomb ooooh oooh :p
He (wallis) also invented a ball shaped bouncing bomb for use on land, dropped from mossies i think (David McCallum flew one and dropped them in some film or another - anyone?). It was designed to breach walls by impacting laterally rather than vertically. Not quite as successful though...
