Nah, the previous owner in the movie was the old hobbit, so IRL Gollum would represent Chimpy's father. Makes the "my precious" thing a little doubtful though...

@Cyrano: The ring maybe have different effects depending on the "evilness" of the wearer ;)

@Eagler: Where did you find that photo? There's a lengend that some photo of Clinton "before the beauty center" has survived the second era, now I see that was true!!!

anybody who can't see the uncanny resemblance between gollum & chaney isn't look'n.
