Primetime Live on ABC was devoted to the porn industry last night, and not one comment on this board was made! I'm losing faith in you all!!! :(
;)

I haven't watched ABC since Monday Night Football ended a month ago.
Did they interview that Jewish guy who's now considered the porn kingpin in America since Bob G., Larry F., and Hugh H. went low-profile? I can't recall his name. I think he's based out west somewhere... Vegas or LA maybe.

you watch ABC???

it was porn! like I'm not gonna watch it!
naw, they went at the story from the girls' point of views. They barely even mentioned people like Heff or Flint. Talked about a few girls, then focused on one girl's career from 18 to her now 21. They also mentioned the money that's made off the industry by big name companies (AOL/Time Warner, Comcast, and GM/DirecTV, various hotel chains), yet none of those companies disclose any data based on those earnings, and they could only get one representative to even let them record and air their comments. I thought that was pretty interesting.

Too bad I missed it. It'll probably get replay on MSNBC or TLC or Court TV eventually.
This month's issue of "Gear" had an article written by an aspiring actress/lousy waitress who had turned to stripping as a way to earn money. It was pretty insightful, and kinda depressing.

They said porn was bad... but in some cases, extremely profitable.
That was about it in a nutshell.

AOL/Time-Warner, General Motors.

This was even better than the network's watered down version:

"The General Motors Corporation, the world's largest company, now sells more graphic sex films every year than does Larry Flynt, owner of the Hustler empire,"

I purposley turned the channel. I didn't want my wife to be in any way discouraged from watching porn. It's bad for the relationship.
